The F Word

We all have heard of it. Fenty. Beauty. Or in my terms the "F word" inspired by Lily Pebbles book title. Fenty is known for being own by the gorgeous Rihanna & for being an all inclusive brand. The first brand with 40 foundation shades for both darker skin and albino women. I am beyond blessed to have this brand arise in tough politics times. It gives hope for a better future, it may sound like an exaggeration because it's just "makeup" but it's not just makeup. Makeup that made history and an influence for other brands to change up there lines to be more inclusive. It is so frustrating to try to buy makeup when your shade isn't available or you're too dark for the highlight shades available. We can admit most brands cater to the white women complexion and not everyone is that. So thank you Fenty for changing that & allowing every women and male with makeup feel beautiful for who they are.

Although, I spoke a lot about the foundation range I won't be reviewing that but can briefly say the foundation does work well and I have tried it. It's a nice lightweight formula for a "my skin but better" look similar to Glossier or Milk Makeup. The only things I don't like is how thin and runny it is and you have to work fast to blend it or it will dry up and also because it's thin you have to use a couple of layers for more coverage and based on the price of the foundation I rather use less is more way. But it's still a great foundation and I believe they still have time to improve the formula, they just got started after all! They also have great packaging with graffiti lettering it has a streetwear & Rihanna vibe we all can see. Streetwear is a big part of her personal style & she can rock anything even an Off White seat belt belt.

But I do have a few lip shades to discuss and happy to share I have heard nothing but good reviews about them from the Beauty community. First is the universal red Stunna lip paint in shade Uncensored is a blue red, one of my favorite kinds. I never been big on red I thought it wouldn't look good on me but this one does! I would suggest using a liner first or the product can be runny and the application is a new shape but I like it! It makes application much easier then other liquid lipsticks & you only need one swipe on the lips for coverage. The packaging is uniquely it's own but it's hard to pack, so if they remade it to something smaller and more packable I would appreciate that.

Then for the Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick of PMS and Freckle Fiesta. I love the names from Fenty much sass and clever play of words. PMS made me laugh because the shade really does look like period blood. I must inform it goes on dark and more brown then a brown red that I hoped for. Again a liner would work best with this. I love how small the lipstick is it's so easy to bring in my bag but I don't like the shape of the lipstick application it's a little small to apply it well. I also love Freckle fiesta shade it really does remind me of a fiesta. I like this color because it's a nude orange I been searching for and it looks great on tanner skintones. I saw it on Jenn Im & Soothingsista and had to get it! S/o to these Asian ladies for the recommendations. There are many other shades I want to try from the collection like "Wassabi" & "Single" I may report back in another post whenever I may try those but for now these are my top three from the "F Word."
